Review

An explosion of noise, that's really the only way I know how to shortly explain this album. I am by no means a big current music fan - I'm slowly getting more familiar and getting very slowly hooked to the better current indie rock bands, but for me to "really" like a current album is very rare and this album is great.

There are a few "weak" tracks, though weak compared to fantastic songs like "Wake Up" and "Crown of Love", in reality those "weak" songs are still solid and worth listening to. The bombastic sound of Arcade Fire just sounds great on the brand new headphones I wore for my second listen of the album, just incase I was dilusional, but I wasn't.

Of course the best two tracks are "Crown of Love" and the well known "Wake Up". Both are just excellent songs, but at the same time other tracks like Tunnels, Power Out and 7 Kettles (not well liked for some reason) are not as good, but still very good.

Overall I'm still surprised. Listening to Neon Bible now I definitely see the must for numerous plays - not a bad thing, just that this band is quite different from anything I usually listen to. I can't believe I am saying this words - a great current rock album, definitely a must have.
